Fresh from our speakers is 4 sisters out of the Left Coast’s LA raised on Motown, Oldies, Jazz and American Standards by their parents a piano teacher and preacher. Very different individually yet close-knit the Jazmin Sisters have just dropped “90’s Baby“, is a 6-track project tackling classics like SWV‘s “Weak”, Soul For Real‘s “Candy Rain” and the smooth “Gin & Juice” from Snoop Dogg. “Love these girls! Great song & video… so beyond excited right now for this project.” says Jaire Hattley of Ja’ire International Couture on Soundcloud,
Only way we could describe them if we HAD to you could mix Destiny’s Child with TLC, a pinch of Aaliyah and a dash of EnVogue to get an idea. No matter what we are thrilled to have a girl group again! Even if they do solo songs or a mix of features we hope they stay together in the long haul!
Miranda Writes, yes she does and this is such an amazing message. Her candid, in your face lyrics will cut you straight through and then give you a hug. The beat produced by The Unbeatables is poetic with a touch of rock. She is honest. She is strong. She is transparent to a degree but leaves you wanting to hear more. “Beauty and Beast” is set in a natural setting from behind the mic to outside in the midst of the green trees shot by Jpaperz Productions. Make sure you check out more of her music and follow her on Twitter/@MirandaWritesMC~
We love Tia London. If you don’t know then you haven’t really been in tune with Female Flow. Her last project The Overdose was hands down our favorite album of 2012 along with our girl Rapsody’s ‘The Idea of Beautiful‘. This latest video released from Tia London is a tribute to the late and never forgotten Ms. Aaliyah. The scene is in a airplane hanger which sends an uneasiness when you think back to the images of Aaliyah’s crash site. We lost an angel that day who left us an amazing catalog of music & memories. We salute you Tia for taking the time to properly remember an amazing inspiration.
2018 UPDATE: TIA LONDON HAS SINCE REMOVED THIS VIDEO, we hope she brings it back!
This is the first of two visuals for Oracle’s new album ‘Anatomy‘. This Californian asks her fans to grab some wine, sit back and relax as she soothes and shares her soft sultry vibes. Filmed by MIA Entertainment this video is a dual treat of love, seduction and real life. Check it out and make sure you follow her on twitter!
From the moment we saw Justina live we knew she was something of a special sauce but once we witnessed her grind we couldn’t help but get on board with her. She moves like a locomotive through anything and anyone to share her music from block parties, private events, fashion shows to your local venues. Wait let me stop… she just flew back from LA so unsurprisingly enough NJ just isn’t big enough to hold this force. In her latest video, “Halloween” which was entirely shot in New Jersey and directed by Jon Kilmer Studios features some ratchet princesses who just can’t seem to keep it together. They all “turn up” in the video from dancers to grave walkers… they are just a bunch of scary b!tches. Justina looks great from hot pink pants, long ponytails to a wonder-woman look she killed the lines. #FemaleFlowApproved follow her now on twitter/@JustinaMusic
Directed by Kendra MacLeod this song produced by Yari Beats shows 3 different women, 3 different lifestyles, 3 different vices but all “Skipping Clouds”. In true emcee form Nitty Scott tells a story over a trance, new age beat and her flow is impeccable. Her story is true and beautiful even though it is dark… it’s true. This video was well thought out, her wardrobe and styles were on point. Hair done by Danielle Wright and MUA was creatively done by Damaris Santana while the styles came from the vision of Kendra MacLeod & Fatima F. It takes a team to make a dream work and this visual representation works. No matter what we as people wear, no matter what mask we put on or what drug we may use… we all feel the same pain.
“…you see these heights I never fear ’em when I’m getting near ’em, plenty wheels in the sky and she knows how to steer em, all though I shouldn’t operate machinery, going, going, gone when I’m glowing on this greenery.” ~ NITTY SCOTT
Brianna Perry drops her 3rd video from her recent project, Symphony No. 9 and this one is featuring T-Pain titled, “Mascara Tears”. Signed to Poe Boy Music Group / Atlantic Records Ms. Perry has been grinding non-stop. We saw her first in 2011 with “Fly Kick” and put her on Female Flow Vol 3 but since then she has been relentless with giving us quality videos, music and more. We love what she is doing and this new track might touch home with a growing group of women who think that sex is a way to “trap” a man or to find love. The shiny lights and bling aren’t always what it seems and some men will take a womens love for granted.
We encourage you to love yourself, support your sisters when they are hurting and remind your friends that we are all Queens.
Ok she isn’t indie anymore but we support females. PERIOD. So when I came across the REMIX of this song…. I HAD to post it up. Watching Salt n Pepa since the age of 4 Amplify Dot has been performing since the age of 14, now 24 she is signed to Virgin EMI. Yet to release her debut album this UK femcee is looking at the top as she will be opening up Jay Z and JT at the Wireless Festival. We look forward to hearing more of her and guarantee she will grace this site again!
DUTCH REBELLE……We feel like that’s all we have to say, but some of you just don’t know who she is yet. “Ammo”, the follow up to Dutch Rebelle’s “Sunday Morning” is a motivational record comparing courage and strength to ammunition. Produced by Touch N Play and directed by Seba Films this dark video turns the coin on the fellas as the ladies set a new mark. As a friendly game of pool turns into a kidnapping, we bet that another villain won’t mess around in this town. Garnishing the Haitian flag Dutch Rebelle is not an emcee to mess with. Straight out of Boston she has shown us nothing but quality work since we have met her.
ReBelle has opened up for big name artists, such as, The Wu Tang Clan, Busta Rhymes, Melanie Fiona, and Cam’ron. In 2011, ReBelle released her debut mixtape, “Beauty vs. The Beast”. Within the same year, ReBelle was part of the Boston Phoenix’s “Freshmen Hip Hop Class”. She won at the New England Urban Music Awards in the category of Best Female Hip Hop; along with FN, winning for Best Group. She was invited to perform at nationwide concerts like, the 2nd Annual Female Hip Hop Honors in Los Angeles. In 2012, ReBelle released her debut EP “Married to the Music”. The EP was very well received. The Boston Globe called her “The ReBelle with A Cause” in an October edition of the highly respected newspaper. Nationwide performance requests began to flow in, such as the SWSX (South by Southwest) annual concert in Austin, Texas. She is currently in the process of completing her debut album, Vodou.
