Who is Lady Daisey?

Lady Daisey (Daisey Traynham – Brooklyn, NY) is a soul/funk singer who spent her childhood touring the U.S. with her parent’s band. Raised on the road, home-schooled and surrounded by music, it was natural for her to blossom into the artist that she is. Since then, she’s been following her musical path and developed her own playful style, ranging from sultry love songs to powerhouse feel-good old-school soul. Lady Daisey has played venues and festivals around the globe, spreading her message of love and positivity, soulfully presented over head noddin’ Batsauce beats. A small woman with a huge voice, Lady Daisey is sure to grab the attention and steal the hearts of everyone within ear’s reach.

Raye 6, the sexy siren known for her electric, in your face persona, reveals a softer side in her latest release “Lifted Sand”. On a recent UK tour with ILuvLive, Raye 6 had the chance to record with founder of Baby People UK and renowned producer Baby J (Amy Whinehouse, Dead Prez, Estelle, Mexican Kids At Home). Written and composed in the beautiful countryside of Derby, “Lifted Sand”, the infectious esoteric musical piece poses a few questions “who do you love/who do you trust/is there a fire/burning me up?” The poetic chorus “lifted on a faded grain of sand” is a description of love so faded the only thing left holding it up is a grain of sand. Filmed by Ne$$ of Weekend Money, the scenic visual for Lifted Sand was shot on location at Castle Ashby De La Zouch in Leicestershire, United Kingdom

Truly, does she really need an introduction? Well I guess if you haven’t heard of Cocoa Sarai then yes and this is perfect intro if we say so ourselves. At FemaleFlow.com we constantly see female artists subjected to the ups and downs of label politics, A&R fuckery and borderline sexist demands so this is a video directed by Jaison Blackrose addresses just that head on. #NewVideo – @IamTiaLondon “Aaliyah Tribute”

We love Tia London. If you don’t know then you haven’t really been in tune with Female Flow. Her last project The Overdose was hands down our favorite album of 2012 along with our girl Rapsody’s ‘The Idea of Beautiful‘. This latest video released from Tia London is a tribute to the late and never forgotten Ms. Aaliyah. The scene is in a airplane hanger which sends an uneasiness when you think back to the images of Aaliyah’s crash site. We lost an angel that day who left us an amazing catalog of music & memories. We salute you Tia for taking the time to properly remember an amazing inspiration.
